St John Wakatipu was met with delight instead of trauma and is $760 better off, after delivering 95 bouquets of flowers to loved ones on Valentine's Day.
Up to five ambulance officers and ASB staff from both Remarkables Park and Queenstown branches, in three ambulances, took part in the annual fundraising initiative, from 8.30am to 7.30pm.
They couriered flowers, balloons and bears and other romantic mementos from Renaissance florists to residences and businesses around the Wakatipu basin.
"Thank you, [it's] fabulous," Queenstown team manager Alana Reid said this week.
