Visit from Dagg delights pupils

Injured All Black fullback Israel Dagg (centre) surprised youngsters from St Joseph's School last week with an impromptu visit.

Dagg, who is recovering from knee injury, is a friend of one the parents.

Year 7-8 teacher Moana Thorn said the children were excited to meet him.

``He was fantastic and very gracious in stepping up and playing a game of dodgeball, a gentle game for him as he is injured.

``The students were super-hyped to have him visit.''

Year 8 pupil Christiane Mcleod (13) added: ``It was great to have someone who we all know is a normal person but is an amazing role model.''
