A Wellington-bound flight from Dunedin Airport has been cancelled this morning.
The Air New Zealand NZ682 service was meant to depart Dunedin Airport at 10.25am, but was cancelled after its inbound sister flight was unable to land.
Dunedin Airport marketing and communications manager Megan Crawford said the incoming flight attempted to land three times but was scuppered on each occasion by the low cloud hanging over the city this morning.
Other flights had some minor delays but all were able to land or depart, she said.
It was unclear if the flight was returned to the capital or Christchurch.
Those booked on the Wellington-bound service would be accommodated on other flights, Ms Crawford said.
Air New Zealand is yet to respond to ODT requests for comment.
