Queenstown border cops have booted out reality TV star Gary 'Gaz' Beadle.
The Geordie Shore cast member, 28, flew in from Australia on Tuesday to take part in a radio promotion.
But he was sent back to Australia yesterday, after being released on Tuesday night "on conditions", including letting him stay at pre-arranged accommodation, understood to be a posh local hotel.
Mountain Scene asked if Beadle tried to get in without a work visa, but Immigration New Zealand border boss Senta Jehle clammed up for privacy and legal reasons.
She says temporary visitors must meet certain conditions and Beadle didn't.
Jehle: "The onus is on the visitor to satisfy INZ that they meet all of the entry requirements at the time they travel to New Zealand. Mr Beadle did not meet these requirements."
Beadle was in town with fellow Geordie Shore housemate Marty McKenna for The Edge's 'One Night Stand'.
Promo boss Dena Roberts couldn't comment.British tabloid The Daily Mirror says Geordie Shore is "best known for its outrageous drunken antics, fiery rows and X-rated sex scenes".
