Gore Police are currently attending a single vehicle crash involving a truck and trailer unit which has occurred on State Highway 90 about 5km south of Waikoikoi.
A truck and trailer unit has overturned with two people inside it. Details of the conditions of these people are not yet available.
Emergency Services are at the scene including a rescue helicopter from Dunedin. Detours will be in place until the crash is cleared and delays are likely.
A serious crash investigator is at the scene.
A fire communications spokesman said one person had been extracted from the truck.
