Police are investigating the death of a 21-year-old security guard found dead early on Friday morning.
Waitakere Police are investigating the circumstances around the young man's death after he was found near the entrance of a Henderson construction site at about 3am.
He was rostered on to monitor the construction site on the corner of the new motorway over-bridge, on the corner of Selwood Rd and the Concourse.
Detective Senior Sergeant Stan Brown of the Waitakere Criminal Investigation Branch said it was too early to tell what lead to the death of this man.
He confirmed there were signs the man suffered injuries.
A Police northern communications spokesman said no new information had been reported overnight.
