Women appreciated with yellow roses

Zonta Yellow Rose recipients (from left), Fiona Nyhof, Sophie Barker, Michelle Chalklin-Sinclair, Liz Rowe and Suzanne Ellison at the Dunedin Public Art Gallery yesterday.

Each year the Zonta Club of Dunedin Otago and the Zonta Club of Metropolitan Dunedin Club presents Zonta yellow roses to prominent women in the community.

Other rose recipients this year included Barbara Brooks, Margi Robertson, Kelly MacKnight, Diann Waugh and Donna Matahaere-Atariki.

Since 1999 the rose day has coincided with international women's day.
