One taken to hospital after morning crash

A central city collision between two cars disrupted Dunedin commuters this morning.

A police spokeswoman said two cars collided at the intersection of Pitt St and Royal Terrace about 9.25am.

Traffic management was put in place until about 10am, she said.

A St John spokeswoman said two ambulances attended the scene.

One patient was transported to Dunedin Hospital in a moderate condition.

A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesman said two crews, from Dunedin City and Willowbank stations, assisted at the scene.
