A Dunedin Night'n Day dairy is set to close by the end of this month, with the loss of nine jobs.
Night'n Day chief executive Tony Allison said George St Night'n Day would not be renewing its lease, which runs out at the end of this month.
Of the dairy's nine staff, all but two part-time workers had been helped into other work, including at other Night'n Day stores around Dunedin, Mr Allison said.
There were ''a host of reasons'' the lease was not being renewed, including the cost of rent, he said.
The close proximity of other Night'n Day stores on the ''main street'' was not a factor.
The owners of the store were looking for alternative sites to open up another Night'n Day store.
Stock would be on sale at reduced prices before the closing sale.
