A bedroom of a Sawyers Bay house has been extensively damaged by fire.
Firefighters were called to the house in Mill St about 1pm today.
Homeowner Steve Wedlock said he believed the fire started in an electrical outlet.
He extinguished the fire using a fire extinguisher and it was out by the time firefighters arrived, he said.
Three appliances attended.
