A teenage driver has been referred to youth aid after rolling a car allegedly due to excess speed near Fairfield yesterday.
Senior Sergeant Anthony Bond said police were called to the vicinity of Chain Hills Rd about 6pm.
A 17-year-old man was driving, likely at speed, and crossed the centre line while approaching a corner.
He crashed through a driveway, flipped, rolled along a fence and came to rest the right side up on a grass verge, narrowly missing a large gum tree.
The driver was uninjured in the crash but was taken to hospital as a precaution.
He passed a breath test and has been referred to youth aid for follow-up.
