There's something about wearing stripes that makes me feel Parisian, as if I need to wear red lipstick and a beret while sitting at a streetside cafe, sipping pinot noir and eating mouldy cheese.I don't do berets or mouldy cheese, but I am loving stripes this summer! Fortunately many designers are using both vertical and horizontal stripes in their collections in a variety of garments, although I don't think you can go past the perfect little striped T-shirt dress this season.

The temperature is heating up. So too are some of summer's fashion trends and while the crop top has been the go-to for showing off some skin during the past few seasons, this year we are focusing on legs (the thigh to be exact) with thigh-high splits in skirts and dresses.

For most women the idea of showing off some thigh may be unappealing: I mean how many of us actually have toned, tanned thighs?! However, if you do, you should definitely take advantage of the trend while it lasts.
