Dunedin-based consultancy and new venture development company, AbacusBio, has a new managing director.
Neville Jopson has taken over that role from founding shareholder Peter Fennessy, who has led the company since its inception in 2000.
Dr Jopson has worked for AbacusBio since 2001 and has been a director-shareholder since 2006, and has specialised in the areas of livestock genetics and animal growth.
AbacusBio employs 17 people who have expertise in animal genetics, breeding programme design, software development, farm consulting and the protection and conversion of scientific innovation into new products.
