Dunedin whisky bar Scotia Bar and Bistro is still for sale, but Scotia's dining area is scheduled to close by about the end of the month.
A report on the closure yesterday said the business had been taken off the market, but co-owner Mary Jane Hewitson said yesterday that was incorrect, and it was still being advertised for sale, with Bayleys Real Estate.
She confirmed the downstairs restaurant, Scotia, which is still trading, was scheduled to close in about two weeks, but the upstairs Doon Bar would remain open, trading on Friday and Saturday nights.
She said there had been ''good inquiries'' about the business so far. When asked what had prompted the imminent closure, she said there were ''various reasons'' involved.
