ASB is establishing a regional office in Dunedin next year, taking over Radio Otago House, which will become known as ASB House in June.
The regional office would bring together 25 ASB staff from areas including commercial banking, business banking, rural banking and insurance advisory, regional manager Andrew Thomson said.
''We've seen fantastic growth in all facets of our Otago business over the past 12 months. This has meant we have created new roles in our team so we can continue to provide unbeatable service to the local region.''
The investment in a new regional office was a direct result of the bank's confidence in the local economy and its desire to be at the forefront of regional banking services, he said.
New technology, building design and mobile devices would encourage a flexible, paperless working environment with collaborative work spaces to allow ASB staff to work seamlessly with each other and customers, Mr Thomson said.
