PD starts a new weekly series today called "Landers Chat" which will follow the fortunes of the Highlanders season.
PD was at the Upper Clutha grounds on the shores of Lake Wānaka to watch the Highlanders train and interact with the hundreds of kids who turned up to catch a glimpse of their heroes.
He has a chat with Welsh international Rhys Patchell, who has joined the side this year as flyhalf.
He also talks to defence coach Dave Dylan on how pre-season is going so far, and has a quick word with Upper Clutha "heavy" Blue Simon on what the visit means to the club and catches up with a few of the club's much younger members.
