Two quad bikes and another vehicle were destroyed in a "well involved" garage fire in Hawea Flat overnight.
Fire crews from the Wanaka Volunteer and the Lake Hawea Volunteer fire brigades attended the garage fire in Camphill Rd at about 6pm yesterday.
It took them more than three hours to bring the fire under control.
Wanaka chief fire officer Garth Campbell said the fire was "well involved" by the time the crews had arrived.
A vehicle and two quad-motorbikes were inside the garage which meant the crews approached the fire with caution.
"We had bit of trouble putting it out, it was well involved and there was vehicle and a couple of quads inside which made it tricky to put it out."
The owners were home at the time but no one was injured in the blaze.
The cause of the fire was not known at this stage.
