A motorcyclist has been taken to Lakes District Hospital in Queenstown in a moderate condition, following a crash near Kingston.
A police spokeswoman said two motorcyclists crashed on State Highway 6, on the Devil’s Staircase, about 12.20pm.
A rescue helicopter was dispatched from Queenstown but later stood down.
One of the riders was taken to the hospital by Hato Hone St John ambulance with a broken bone.
Traffic management was in place for a short time, but has since cleared, she said.
