The men got into trouble when their 4.5m runabout boat capsized coming in over Jumpinpin Bar near South Stradbroke Island yesterday afternoon.
The 43-year-old and 39-year-old clung to the boat for a couple of hours before it started sinking.
One man grabbed a chilly bin (esky) and the other a chair before they swam to shore.
Neither sustained injuries.
