Police divers searching for a missing fisherman have found a body.
A large-scale search was under way in and around Nelson's Waimea Inlet this morning for 35-year-old Lian Thang Van.
Mr Van was fishing with friends when he got into trouble yesterday afternoon.
Police have not yet confirmed if the body is that of Mr Van.
Inspector Ian McKenzie told Newstalk ZB the dive squad members found a body in the water near the Waimea River mouth about 12.30pm.
It was understood police were contacting relatives of the dead person.
