3 cars stolen, 2 others broken into at weekend

Three cars were stolen in Dunedin at the weekend.

A white 1989 Nissan Pulsar was taken from a driveway in Ravensbourne Rd between 4pm on Friday and noon on Sunday.

A white 1986 Toyota TownAce was stolen from a right of way in Elbe St, the Glen, between 7am and 9am on Sunday and a green 1997 Ford Laser was stolen from Alma St, St Kilda, between 9pm on Sunday and 5am yesterday.

Two other cars were broken into and items were removed, Senior Sergeant Liz Waru, of Dunedin, said.

A car parked in a car park in Blackhead Rd was broken into after its window was smashed and $140 was taken between 8.15am and 8.45am on Sunday.

A Macpac backpack, containing a cell phone, wallet, driver's licence, sunglasses and $60 cash, was removed from a car parked at the Ravensbourne Boating Club, in Ravensbourne Rd between 10am and 1.15pm on Sunday.

An Osmond St, South Dunedin, house was burgled between midnight on Saturday and 8.30am on Sunday.

Medication was stolen.
