Cars stolen in Dunedin at weekend

Police are appealing to the public for help after three cars were stolen in Dunedin over the weekend.

Senior Sergeant Liz Waru, of Dunedin, said a white 1989 Nissan Pulsar was taken from a driveway in Ravensbourne Rd between 4pm Friday and 12pm yesterday.

A white 1986 Toyota TownAce was stolen from a right of way on Elbe St, The Glen, between 7am and 9am yesterday.

A green 1997 Ford Laser was taken from Alma St in St Kilda between 9pm last night and 5am today.

Two other cars were broken into and had items removed, Snr Sgt Waru said.

A car in a car park on Blackhead Rd had its window smashed and $140 was taken between 8.15am and 8.45am yesterday.

A Macpac backpack containing a cell phone, wallet, driver's licence, sunglasses and $60 cash was removed from a car parked at the yacht club on Ravensbourne Rd yesterday between 10am and 1.15pm.

Medication taken

Medication was taken from a South Dunedin home at the weekend.

Snr Sgt Waru said the burglary of the house in Osmond St happened between midnight on Saturday and 8.30am on Sunday.

Nothing else appeared to have been taken, she said.
